World War II photographs, ca. 1943-1945.

Photographs of Sylvester "Bud" Hendricks, a pilot who served with the Army Air Forces in the 65th Fighter Squadron, 57th Fighter Group during World War II. Hendricks was originally from Bloomfield, Nebraska and moved to Columbus, Wisconsin sometime after World War II. He was a career Air Force officer, serving in Korean and Vietnam and eventually obtaining the rank of colonel. Photographs are of his World War II service and include two images of training aircraft and four images taken while in Germany. One image from Germany shows a fellow pilot posing next to a German fighter plane, and another shows the same pilot and Hendricks looking at flight charts on the tale of another plane.
